2. Application of refractory castable in glass melting furnace.
Due to the requirements of the working environment of the glass melting furnace itself, the refractory castable applied should have the characteristics of good high temperature resistance, strong resistance to glass liquid erosion, and low porosity. The main refractory castables used are fused silica castables, corundum castables, lightweight mullite castables, zircon ramming materials, etc.
3. Application of refractory castables in metallurgical industry.
(1) Refractory castable for ironmaking system
In the ironmaking system, there are more refractory castables used in blast furnace taphole trenches, and ASC refractory castables are generally used. ASC castables are generally low-cement or ultra-low-cement castables, mainly composed of Al2O3 aggregates, SiC, carbon, refractory cement and various admixtures. The use of different parts, the use of different materials, such as in the main ditch, slag ditch, branch ditch, etc.
(2) Refractory castable for molten iron pretreatment
In the application of refractory castables in molten iron ladles, aluminum silicon carbide carbonaceous castables are mainly used at the bottom of the furnace, the molten pool and the slag line. The spray gun is an important device for the pretreatment of molten iron, and the refractory materials used in the spray gun are mostly poured as a whole with castables, and the materials are mainly Al2O3-SiO2 series. The integral spray gun made of this castable has the characteristics of uniform organization, no joints, good thermal shock resistance and long life.
4. Refractory castable for electric furnace steelmaking
The application of refractory castable in electric furnace is mainly concentrated in the electric furnace cover, and the overall castable cover may become a development trend of electric furnace cover in the electric triangle area. The material of the prefabricated block is divided into corundum, high alumina, mullite, the user provides the drawings and the use of parts, temperature, the manufacturer according to the drawings with the appropriate refractory castable poured into the prefabricated parts, after curing, baking and delivery, transported to the user's location can be spliced and used on site.
5. Refractory castable for refining outside the furnace
(1) Refractory castable for RH furnace. A small amount of high-alumina castable and aluminum-magnesium castable are applied in the lining of RH furnace. The upper part of the RH vacuum chamber adopts Al2O3-MgO· Al2O3 castable integral lining or gunting integral lining. In the RH furnace, the outer wall of the impregnated pipe is cast with monolithic aluminum-magnesium castable.
(2) Refractory castable for LF furnace. The materials used for the curtain wall of the LF furnace cover are mainly high-alumina or corundum castables of the series. The impact zone at the bottom of the package is mostly made of high alumina-spinel refractory castable to pour large bricks;
(3) Refractory castable for CAS refining unit. The CAS refining unit is divided into two parts, upper and lower, and the refractory materials used are castables; The upper part is mostly made of Al2O3-SiO2 castable with low expansion. The lower part is mostly fused corundum-spinel series castable with MgO fine powder added, and in the later stage, in order to prolong the service life of the device, magnesium and aluminum gunning materials are mostly used.
(4) Refractory castable for ladle. The varieties of refractory castables for ladle are mainly aluminum-magnesium castables and aluminum-magnesium spinel castables.
6. Refractory castable for continuous casting
Tundish castables include: light castable (mainly used for insulation), high alumina or mullenite artesian castable, corundum and magnesia castable (used for the bottom working layer).
